| Fund Raising Projects
- May Court Bargain Box Resale Shop - Club members and volunteers came
together to support the shop for the better of the Club and Community. Consignment and donated items
are received, priced and sold in our resale shop. The shop is opened from Monday to Saturday, from
September to June.
- Bridge Marathon - Approximately 51 Honorary Life, Life and Associate Members
comprise this group.
- Nevada Tickets
- Windsor Bestsellers - selling entertainment books
- Christmas Tree Tea - An afternoon Tea served with little quiches & desserts.
Funds are raised through ticket sales (very modestly priced), a Silent Auction of Christmas items such
as table-top trees, centerpieces and other seasonal items, as well as a raffle.
Special Projects
- Summer Camps - Children's Aid Society, Canadian Institute for the Blind,
Big Sisters, Autism, Canadian Diabetes, Kiwanis Sunshine Camp, and Easter Seals - for special needs
children in our community
- Culture Support - This year two scholarships were
awarded to children who excel in their category, in the Kiwanis Music Festival
- Hiatus House - A shelter for women and children who are in need of shelter
from an abusive relationship
- House of Sophrosyne - providing children's programs of substance abuse women
- Windsor Regional Children's Centre - helping teens to adjust to the pressures of
every day life
